Responsibilities Hospital-based Med / Surg Telemetry unit Day and night 12-hour shifts with potential for rotating schedule to meet operational needs Traveler will be assigned every other holiday Electrocardiogram (ECG) rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment completed during orientation Uses Qualivis-Lotus for hours submission Oncology / chemotherapy administration experience preferred but not required; training for chemo administration provided to interested qualified candidates Travelers may be required to rotate between day and night shifts Returning permanent or per diem employees must wait one year before eligibility to return Negative 10 panel and nicotine (cotinine) drug screen required within 12 months of start and updated annually Modules must be completed prior to start and annually if the assignment is extended Badging and fingerprinting completed onsite before start date No restrictions for local candidates PAPRs not considered as an alternative for caregivers with facial hair except with approved medical or religious exemption Requirements Active Ohio or Compact RN license required at time of consideration AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required and active Minimum 18 months of recent permanent Med / Surg Telemetry RN experience prior to travel assignments One supervisory reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty is required Background check with no open cases or license issues accepted ECG and safeMedicate assessments must be passed during orientation Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-602856.
