Adelphi is seeking qualified Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive nursing services within a secured correctional healthcare setting in DuPage County, Illinois. The nurses will deliver medical care and health support for individuals in custody, including intake evaluations, routine sick calls, treatment administration, and patient education, ensuring compliance with established clinical and institutional standards.

Requirements :
Current and valid Illinois Registered Nursing (RN) licenseCurrent CPR certificationSuccessful completion of criminal background and fingerprint checksAnnual tuberculosis (TB) testing in accordance with facility policyCompletion of facility orientation and competency requirementsAdherence to facility policies, security standards, and confidentiality regulationsResponsibilities :
Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and provide treatment as ordered by the physician or nurse practitionerAdminister medications, treatments, and immunizations accurately and in compliance with facility protocolMaintain detailed and timely medical documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, treatment logs, and care plan updatesMonitor patient progress and communicate with other healthcare professionals regarding medical conditions, treatment outcomes, and ongoing needsSupport intake screenings, chronic care, and emergency response proceduresPromote and maintain infection control and hygiene practicesEducate individuals on prescribed treatments and preventive health measuresEnsure all clinical activities are compliant with state regulations, ACA, and NCCHC standardsMaintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirementsParticipate in required in-service education and training programsAny other duties as assigned.
