ObGyn Hospitalist physician job in Iowa : Locums OB / GYN Hospitalist Opportunity in Des Moines, Iowa(IMLC Accepted) Availability

Start Date : December 24, 2025 Must be available to start on this date

Shift Length : 24 hours (7 : 00 AM 7 : 00 AM)

Schedule Notes :

24-hour shifts required

Physicians may not work more than two 24-hour shifts in a row

On-Call : 24 / 7

Provider cannot be local to Des Moines area Setting & Responsibilities

Location : Medical Center

Environment : Inpatient only

Telehealth : No

Supervision of APPs : No

Exam Rooms : 8-bed OBED

Duties Include : OBED patients

Emergent cases (vaginal deliveries and C-sections)

Patients without a primary OB / GYN

Support for Iowas only maternity transport team

Annual OBED Volume : ~1,389 visits

~463 result in deliveries

EMR : Epic

Medical Imaging, Lab & Pharmacy : Onsite Licensure & Certifications

Board Certification : Required

Will consider truly Board Eligible within 5 years of residency

Licensure :

Active Iowa license strongly preferred
