- Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health and diagnose any conditions.
- Administer vaccinations and medications as prescribed.
- Perform surgical procedures with precision and adherence to aseptic techniques.
- Provide emergency care and critical care management for animals in need.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal husbandry, nutrition, and preventive health care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education.
- Skills
- Proficient in veterinary critical care practices to manage acute conditions effectively.
- Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and veterinary terminology.
- Experience with aseptic techniques to ensure safe surgical procedures.
- Familiarity with animal husbandry practices to promote overall animal well-being.
- Ability to provide comprehensive animal care, including grooming and routine health assessments.
- Competence in laboratory procedures for diagnostics and treatment planning.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members.
- A passion for pet care that drives a commitment to improving the lives of animals.
