Position Summary The Manager Flight Dispatch and Load Planning ensures that the Dispatch Crew complies with all Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) and Company policies and procedures. The Manager also monitors service levels for our customers, develops plans to improve performance, and supports the department for the upcoming growth of our airline for both Dispatch and Load Planning.
Essential Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage the work rules for the Dispatchers including distributing daily workloads
- Monitor Fuel Planning, Fuel Over Destination (FOD) and alternate consistency as well as tanker fuel
- Responsible for quality control of the Flight Dispatch and Load Planning product
- Ensure staffing is augmented when workload dictates
- Maintain Dispatcher currency
- Support the operation during irregular operations; provides weather and air traffic control briefings
- Support and give guidance to the Dispatch Supervisors as they perform their work
- Assist in training and checking of the Dispatch function
- Post analysis review of an event or flight
- Special project involvement as directed
- Support Business Continuity & Emergency Response during drills, live events, and crisis management team (CMT) activation
- Take a significant role in the development of crewmembers to support engagement, growth, and goal achievement
