M1 is looking for an Aircraft Mechanic I Propulsion Flightline

Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

Performs all aspects of Jet Engine flight line maintenance. Assists with daily aircraft launch and

recovery operations. Maintains, inspects, and repairs aircraft engines. Assists with troubleshoots

malfunctions in aircraft propulsion and starting systems. Repairs, replaces, rebuilds, and adjusts

aircraft propulsion and starting systems, test equipment and aircraft accessories. Complete

knowledge of propulsion and starting systems and associated support equipment. Reads and

interprets manufacturers' and aircraft's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data,

engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or

replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Performs periodic and other hourly or calendar

inspections as required. Receives technical guidance from managers, supervisors, leads or higher level

technicians as required. May be required to obtain and maintain special certifications as

directed by management. Reviews and completes forms documentation pertinent to aircraft or

equipment maintenance, enters maintenance actions into applicable MIS system and will make

entries in forms, logs, records, or electronic equivalent as required. May be required to aid

writing / initiating engineering technical assistance requests. Complete all assignments and tasks as

directed by managers, leads, and more senior technicians.

Qualifications and Experience :

Minimum of 4 years performing as a USAF or sister service fighter aircraft Propulsion with at

least 1 year as an F-16 Propulsion within the last 10 years required. Sound working knowledge of

MIS systems, forms documentation and strict adherence to aircraft technical data is required.

Working Conditions :

High school diploma or GED is required. Mathematics skills are desirable

Must speak, read, write, and understand English with the ability to interpret technical data and

special operating instructions in the same language.

Must be willing to deploy to support off-station requirements.

Performs housekeeping duties within 100 feet of assigned work areas (excluding bathrooms).

Performs vehicle use inspections, cleaning, and wash.

Performs any other supportive duties as assigned.

Must be physically capable of performing all assigned duties.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (or higher, if required).

Must be able to, if required, obtain, and maintain a government driver's license. If controlled

movement area (CMA) access is required must be able to pass color vision test.

Environment ranges from office, hangar and flightline and requires extensive climbing, standing,

stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking demands.

May be required to work in other work sections throughout the contract.
