Job Description
We're seeking a skilled Laser Operator with hands-on experience in Mitsubishi laser systems to join our fabrication team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and is confident operating heavy machinery and precision cutting tools.
Mon-Fri 6am-2 : 30pm with mandatory overtime and Saturdays (6am-12pm) as needed
Responsibilities :
- Operate Mitsubishi laser to cut sheet metal ranging from 16 gauge up to ¾
- Perform weekly preventative maintenance on the laser system
- Cut sheet skeletons using a plasma torch and dispose of scrap metal into designated bins
- Conduct quarterly inventory counts of all sheet metal, including partial sheets
- Maintain a clean, organized department and ensure safe working conditions
- Load and unload scrap bins onto trucks when full
- Communicate with Mitsubishi technical support when troubleshooting laser issues
