Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Chattanooga, TN 37412 – Experience the vibrant city life, scenic riverfront, and outdoor adventures in the heart of Tennessee healthcare.

Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract

Start Date : August 27, 2025

End Date : November 26, 2025

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Employment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license (Tennessee or compact state)

Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience

At least 1 completed travel nurse assignment preferred

Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring

Experience with Meditech and Centricity electronic health records preferred

Ability to wear required uniform : solid black, grey, or pink scrubs (no patterns)

Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients

Perform cervical exams, IUPC and FSE placement, IV starts, and lab draws

Circulate and recover cesarean sections (primarily with spinal anesthesia)

Collaborate with OB techs, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members

Utilize advanced L&D tools and techniques, including Jada, fetal pillow, Cook's catheters, and nitrous oxide therapy

Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and procedures

Float to Mother Baby unit as needed (infrequent)
