Claims Operations Technician

Job Description

We offer a merit-based work-from-home program based on job responsibilities. After initial training in-person, this specific role could have the flexibility to work from home up to three days per week.

Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated claims professional to join our team. The position requires the person to :

• Provide training and support on utilizing various systems used in the Claims Division
• Train in both one-on-one and in small group settings in order to provide consistency
• Successfully participate in the planning and implementation of projects
• Participate in the opening and reorganization of Claims branches by attending meetings, travelling, and coordinating other tasks as needed
• Coordinate communication between various departments
• Ability to review claim associates' work for accuracy in order to provide consistency and identify training opportunities
• Authorize system access
• Initiate solutions to improve procedures
• Provide customer service by being the liaison between claim associates and other divisions
• Utilize various software tools to track service calls and resolutions to problems
• Communicate professionally both in verbal and written form any changes, problems, or enhancements to all involved parties
• Properly handle confidential information
• Solve problems and troubleshoot effectively in order to identify, resolve and bring the task to completion
• Travel for a period consistent with the needs of the company
• Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance within a defined work schedule with the potential of overtime
