Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), ERP systems, and common desktop / web tools. Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and financial transaction systems. Ability to research and recommend appropriate accounting treatments. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments. CPA certification. Preferred.
Description
Join UCLA Health as an Accountant IV in Medical Center Financial Services and take on a critical role in maintaining the financial integrity of one of the nation's leading health systems. Under the direction of the Senior General Accounting Manager, you will provide high-level technical accounting support to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
In this role, you will :
- Prepare monthly journal entries for both the University and Medical Center general ledgers.
- Analyze expense variances and process accrual and adjustment entries as needed.
- Reconcile and maintain balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Support the monthly budget variance reporting process.
- Lead the annual inventory count and valuation.
- Assist with implementation of new systems and tools, accounts payable check writing, and both interim and annual audits.
Salary Range : $86,400 - $184,800 annually Qualifications
