Application Support Engineer

Job Description :

• Location : Hybrid (Cleveland, OH 44113, Albany, NY 12207 or Buffalo, NY 14226) Duration : 6 months contract (with possible extension) Job Description : The Shared Services Technology team is seeking a highly skilled Application Support Engineer to support HR, Procurement, and Accounts Payable applications. Responsibilities / Essential Job Functions : Owns the design, development, implementation, assessment, and support of multiple environments, applications, and platforms under HR, Procurement, & Accounts Payable lines of business Participates in the overall health, performance, and availability of the environments and actively works resolution of system impacts for one or more applications or platforms Embraces mentorship and training from senior engineers Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Provides continuous improvement ideas to reduce expenses and / or improve efficiency Stays up to date with application releases, new features & best practices, and provides recommendations for adoption Applies recommended information security standards when resolving issues and seeks to validate Assesses the technical viability of new and emerging products and technologies Contributes to technical documentation, requirements specifications, and project artifacts Identifies potential standards and best practices to implement Create / maintain architecture diagrams for supported technology areas Required Qualifications : Education / Certifications : Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science / Information Technology or related field or equivalent work experience Experience : 3+ years of application development or support experience Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic understanding of programming with Unix and Oracle Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development methodologies, utilizing automated testing, and test-driven development About US Tech Solutions : US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
