Job Summary :
As a Community Support Specialist, you will work with adults in various capacities, providing mentorship, guidance, and hope to help them overcome challenges and achieve their goals. You will work in different settings, including clients' homes, clinics, and community locations, ensuring personalized support tailored to each individual's needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver Mental Health Services : Provide care to clients in the community.
- Empower Clients : Use behavioral interventions like motivational interviewing, operant conditioning, and cognitive processing to help clients meet their treatment goals.
- Foster Recovery and Resilience : Promote improved functioning through supportive educational activities aligned with treatment goals.
- Manage Caseload : Maintain a manageable caseload, collaborating with supervisors to ensure meaningful client impact.
- Collaborate in Client Care : Participate in staffing to identify needs, set goals, and develop success plans.
- Respond to Emergencies : Use sound judgment to assist during crises within your scope of training.
- Ensure Continuity of Care : Follow-up with clients, document interactions, and engage as needed.
- Participate in Staff Development : Attend meetings, training, and workshops to enhance skills.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, or Rehabilitation Counseling.OR an Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support from an approved institution.OR related work experience in human services (minimum 4 years) may substitute for formal education.Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) certification, such as CADC, CRADC, etc.Position Perks & Benefits :
