Job Description

Turner & Townsend is looking for a Client Invoice Developer to support our Construction Management team. The Invoice Developer will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing invoicing processes across multiple projects. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The team is growing quickly and has many pressures resulting from this growth. This role is essential to ensuring financial accuracy and timely billing to support continued success.

Responsibilities include :

  • Develop and maintain invoice templates and billing systems.
  • Generate accurate invoices based on project data, contracts, and client requirements.
  • Track invoice approvals, payments, and outstanding balances.
  • Coordinate with project managers and finance teams to ensure timely and complete billing.
  • Analyze billing data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
  • Maintain documentation and audit trails for all invoicing activities.
  • Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and internal financial controls.
  • Support vendor onboarding and ensure proper billing setup.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to improve invoicing workflows and automation.

Key objectives :

  • Establish and maintain streamlined invoicing processes to maximize accuracy and efficiency.
  • Anticipate billing needs, resolve issues proactively, and support financial reporting.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external clients to ensure smooth billing operations.
  • Qualifications

    Required experience includes :

  • 5+ years of experience in invoicing, billing, or financial operations.
  • 5+ years of experience in Construction Administration preferably with developing invoices, coordinating expense reports and seamless interaction with corporate accounting activities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internal and external.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial documentation.
  • Required technical skills include :

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation).
  • Experience with financial ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Familiarity with project management and billing platforms (e.g., Procore, QuickBooks, Deltek).
  • Working knowledge of database tools and reporting software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Comfortable with Google Workspace (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Gmail).
  • Basic understanding of APIs and data integration between financial systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize invoicing workflows using automation tools.
