Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist

As a Security Officer - Front Desk Specialist in Colorado Springs, CO , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero / Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading aerospace and defense location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and employees, helping to create a secure and welcoming environment. Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring access, verifying credentials, and providing exceptional customer service while supporting security-related protocols. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a dedicated team that values integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach, making a meaningful impact in a dynamic and innovative setting.

Pay Rate : $23.16 / Hour

Job Schedule :

  • DayTime Tue 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
  • Wed 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
  • Thur 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM
  • Fri 11 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

    • Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the front desk.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying credentials and / or identification of individuals entering the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and / or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, including communicating with appropriate personnel and / or authorities.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff by addressing inquiries and providing information as needed at the front desk.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
