Primary Care Physician Veterans Care Canandaigua VA Outpatient Clinic Location : Canandaigua, NY Assignment Type : Locum Tenens Outpatient Primary Care Compensation : $130 / hour Travel & Lodging Covered Period of Performance : ASAP through at least April 2026 About the Opportunity The Canandaigua VA Outpatient Clinic is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to our nation s Veterans. This assignment offers consistent hours, a manageable workload, and the opportunity to serve those who served our country. Role Highlights Outpatient-only schedule : Monday Friday, 8 : 00 AM 4 : 30 PM (no weekends or federal holidays) Average patient volume : patients per day Veteran population with chronic and acute primary care needs Travel, lodging, and malpractice provided Long-term coverage through April 2026 Responsibilities Conduct routine exams, preventive screenings, and follow-up visits Manage chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, COPD, CHF, etc.) Document all care in VA s CPRS system Participate in interdisciplinary care teams using the PACT model Provide patient education, treatment, referral, and follow-up Qualifications MD or DO, Board Certified / Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Practice Active license in any U.S. state or territory Current DEA registration & BLS / ACLS certification Must pass VA credentialing & background clearance
