Position Summary :
The Automation Controls Engineer III is a senior technical resource responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and enhancing control and data acquisition systems across manufacturing, packaging, and support equipment. This includes SCADA systems, PLCs, and HMIs. The role involves leading troubleshooting efforts, mentoring junior engineers, and implementing advanced automation technologies aligned with business goals and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead maintenance and optimization of SCADA, PLC, and HMI systemsCollaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external vendorsOversee external contractors and ensure compliance with safety and GMP standardsInvestigate equipment-related quality deviations and implement corrective actionsDraft and manage change requests and engineering documentationProvide programming and integration support for automation platformsRecommend and implement cost-effective automation upgradesLead complex projects with minimal oversightMentor junior engineers and techniciansSupport validation and compliance activitiesEvaluate emerging automation technologiesMaintain compliance with SOPs and training requirementsPerform other duties as assignedEducation & Experience Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or related engineering fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in automation integrationHands-on experience with PLC and HMI systems (e.g., Rockwell, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Simatic)Supervisory Responsibilities :
No direct supervisory responsibilities, but includes mentoring and technical guidance.
