Must-Have Skills / Experience :

1 year CVICU experience (after orientation complete)

Description :

This position involves providing specialized patient care in a critical care environment.

The role requires strong critical thinking skills.

The nurse will work with adult and geriatric patient populations.

Common diagnoses include CABG, TAVR, STEMI, and carotid procedures.

Equipment used may include Impella, IABP, and CRRT.

Patient ratios will be 2 : 1 with occasional 1 : 1 assignments.

The electronic health record system used is Cerner.

Weekend hours may be required every other weekend or as needed by the facility.

Floating to other areas may be required as per scheduled rotation.
