There's never been a better or more exciting time to become a BMC nurse.\n\nPosition : Registered Nurse\n\nLocation : Adult Emergency Department\n\nSchedule : 36 Hours (Days / Evenings, Every Third Weekend, Rotating Weekends)\n\nABOUT THE ADULT EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT AT BOSTON MEDICAL CENTER : \n\nThe Adult Emergency Department is a level one trauma center and comprehensive stroke center located in Boston's South End. Using our patient-centered care model you will be uplifted by a supportive nursing organization, and will be able to deliver the excellent care to your patients that they deserve.\n\nJOB RESPONSIBILITIES : \n

• Deliver nursing care in the Adult Emergency Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients\n
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families\n
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues\n
• Update and manage patient records\n
• Enter and interpret computerized data / information\n
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC's nursing organization\n
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects\n\nJOB REQUIREMENTS : \n
• Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.\n
• 1+ years of Emergency Room RN experience required\n
• TNCC Required or obtained prior to start date\n
• Certification in basic life support (BLS) required\n
• Advanced Cardiac Life support (ACLS) certification required\n
• Nursing degree : Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred), Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years\n
• Relevant clinical experience and / or specialty, certification required for certain practice areas\n
• Effective verbal and written communication skills\n
• Physical ability to meet job responsibilities\n
• Basic computer proficiency\n
