About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : 2+ years recent dedicated Cardiac ICU experience required

License : VA RN License / Compact License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Must-Have :

Recent experience / competency in the last 6 months with VV / VA ECMO, IABP, TTM / Arctic Sun, Impella, CRRT, PA Catheter Guided Therapy.

Strong experience with advanced therapy modalities.

Ability to read and interpret EKG rhythm strips.

Experience managing and titrating Cardiac / Vasoactive Drips.

Description :

The position requires caring for patients with diagnoses such as Cardiogenic Shock, STEMI, Cardiac arrest, Advanced HF Management, Cardiac Arrhythmia, Lysis, Post IR / PCI Procedures, and TEVAR.

This role includes a weekend requirement of every other weekend and one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), including the day before, day of, and day after the holidays listed.

Floating to other ICUs including Stepdown / Progressive Care / IMC / Tele units may be required.

The nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, with a Stepdown ratio of 1 : 3.

The electronic medical record system used is Epic.

Scrubs required include navy blue pants and solid navy blue tops or solid white jackets.
