Overview
Wright-Pierce, an award-winning, multi-discipline environmental engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, and civil infrastructure, is seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our Southeast team. Office locations for this position are Jacksonville, FL; Maitland, FL; Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities
- Evaluation, programming review, design of Instrumentation and Control (I&C) systems for Water / Wastewater treatment facilities
- Development of process and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
- Select instruments necessary for equipment automation, and select appropriate instrument technology
- Control system startup, testing, troubleshooting, process optimization; design control system network architectures and interfaces
- Develop programmable logic controller (PLC) control narratives
- Outline SCADA requirements and functionality
- Develop conceptual and preliminary studies and reports
- Prepare specifications for bidding and construction
- Review contractor plans and shop submittals
- Conduct field visits to review contractor's work and gain resolution of field-related problems

Minimum of 4 years of directly related engineering work experience requiredPrior experience in the Water / Wastewater industry strongly preferredProficient with MS Office Suite + Bluebeam requiredExperience also using Revit or AutoCAD preferredCertification
EIT Certification requiredRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) or Control System Engineer (CSE) preferredEducation
