Job Summary :

Spherion Staffing is seeking detail-oriented Imaging Specialist (Multimedia Specialist II) to join our client's Media & Archival Services (MAS) division in Kent, WA . In this exciting role, you'll be at the forefront of converting obsolete historical imaging formats and 2D assets into modern digital files, ensuring these valuable records endure for future generations.

You'll be part of a dynamic team, reporting to the Studio Manager, and working closely with imaging and project management to execute client digitization requests from start to spectacular delivery. This is more than a technical role—it's your chance to be a cultural preservationist in the digital age.

Shift Schedule and Compensation Details

Operational Schedule (Monday – Friday) :

  • First Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM
  • Second Shift : 3 : 30 PM – 12 : 00 AM

Remuneration :

  • Annual Salary Range : $48,880 – $54,080 DOE
  • Additional Premiums : Eligibility for a Shift Differential ($0.50) and a DT (Digital Transmission) camera system / FADGI Premium ($1.50) may apply.
  • Responsibilities :

  • Lead the charge in image asset migration , which includes essential research on various historical format types, digitization processes, and the necessary remediation and reformatting of digital files.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate equipment to FADGI standards , and perform general maintenance to keep our sophisticated machinery running flawlessly.
  • Meticulously manage assignments, maintain detailed work logs, track assets, and ensure strict chain of custody and archival engineer reporting for all production work.
  • Required Skills :

  • Only US Citizens are eligible for this level of a project
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent & 2-5 years of relevant experience in a related field.
  • You must be able to fulfill the physical requirements of the job, which include a modest amount of manual labor —such as lifting and moving asset boxes (up to 40 pounds ), equipment, and performing repetitive movements inherent in digitizing workflows.
  • A fundamental understanding of image file formats and the tools used to convert analogue assets into digital files.
  • Preferred Skills :

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Certificate from an accredited program in multi-media, film, photojournalism, graphics, or database / archive management is a major plus!
  • Membership and participation with local and national technical associations such as; The American Photography Archives Group (APAG), The International Center of Photography (ICP), Association of Registrars and Collections Specialists (ARCS), Society of American Archivists (SAA) is encouraged.
  • 2 Years of College plus 4–7 years of relevant experience
  • Pay offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. In addition, Spherion offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, and an incentive and recognition program (all benefits are based on eligibility).
