POSITION SUMMARY : The takeout specialist is responsible for taking guests orders, ringing in orders and taking payment from the guest with great customer service. This position reports to the General Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Act as a company advocate and embody Pizzana’s values : Excellent customer service, innovation, community, cleanliness, and a great place to work.
- Hold the guest as the most important priority at all times
- Enthusiastically greet the guest making eye contact and smiling
- Take the order listening closely to ensure every order is filled promptly and accurately (smart sell if applicable)
- Maintain aesthetic guidelines while packaging
- Ensure orders are entered in the POS system accurately
- Collect payment from the guest
- Assemble the order checking for accuracy
- Deliver the order making eye contact and repeating the order number and prepared food items
- Thank the guest and invite to return again
- Communicate guests feedback to restaurant management
- Educate guests on products offered
- Resolve guest concerns with respect and a sense of urgency
- Understand in store marketing promotions
- Execute new product rollouts including selling to guests and product execution
- Practice proper cash handling procedures with a smile
- Adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines

Must be at least 17 years of ageMinimum of 1 years’ experience in the food industry is preferredNecessary food handler’s certificate.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS :
Must have the ability / stamina to work a minimum of 25 hours a week.Ability to stand / walk for 4-8 hours per day.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Will frequently reach, feel, bend, stoop, carry, finely manipulate and key in data.Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors.Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from music and customer traffic.Must be able to tolerate potential allergens : Peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood and shellfish.About Pizzana :
