Ancillary Operations Business Manager – Medically Integrated Dispensing (MID), Infusion, and Injection Departments

Responsibilities :
- Establish and manage workflows to ensure that MID / Infusion / Injection department business operations provide strong support to clinical and infusion departments
- Coordinate all drug inventory efforts and processes to ensure optimal inventory integrity, metrics and availability to support order volume and financial goals :
Oversee the drug ordering process to ensure that orders are appropriate based on upcoming orders and on hand needs.
In collaboration with Pharmacists / Pharmacy Techs, ensure that all incoming orders are properly accounted for and stocked.Works with vendors and distribution staff to ensure adequate supply inventories, ordering, scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups and to ensure continuity of care.Provide leadership oversight and support to direct reports including hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation and disciplinary actions.Serve as primary account administrator and subject matter expert on department's pharmacy related software platformsPartners with appropriate clinical resources to ensure safe and effective verification and dispensing of medications.Coordinate efforts of drug authorization team to ensure that all ordered medications are paid by applicable third parties. This includes financial analysis related to patient benefit plan selection (pharmacy vs. medical benefits).Under the direction of the Controller and in collaboration with other leaders, ensure that all billing activities related to the Department are effective and efficient.Develop and track department KPIs in conjunction with Administration. Use metrics to support improvement efforts in areas under management.Partner with Pharmacist(s), Administration, Physicians and direct reports to ensure Pharmacy operations follow all applicable regulatory requirements, including oversight of various audit processes.Manage the costs to provide pharmacy business support in accordance with the PMG annual budget and in conjunction with Administration.Other duties as assigned.Requirements :
Business experience in Pharmacy operations, or comparable / related experienceNJ Licensed Pharmacist, Pharmacy Technician, or NJ RN (or comparable clinical license) preferred.Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred; Master's degree a plusAt least one year of previous experience working in an ambulatory practice which has infusion / in house dispensing in a position which supports related clinical operations.Minimum of five (3-5) years health care experience, including one (1) year in a managerial role, is generally requiredBroad knowledge of infusion, in-office dispensing, pharmacy, and nursing regulations, if applicable, and administration required.Excellent organization and communications skillsAccuracy in mathematical calculations, including pharmacokinetic dosingKnowledge of Intellidose, Nucleus, and / or other inventory management systems preferredEMR experience required; NextGen experience a plusSchedule :
Monday to Friday, roughly 8am-5pmOvertime as requiredJob Locations :
Plainsboro, NJ will be the primary work site. Regular visits to the Princeton, NJ office will also be required.This role is 100% on site.Pre-employment drug screen is required
