    • Job Brief

      The Shipping Specialist is responsible for shipping, receiving, and other associated logistical functions detailed below. These tasks are to be accomplished within an ISO 9001 Quality System.

      The position will primarily work during normal business hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday, but may require occasional off-hours and weekend work, and travel.

      The goal of the Shipping Specialist is to ensure that all Customers receive accurate orders within their time constraints. To accomplish this goal, the position will be required to maintain direct communication with the Danish Headquarters, as well as US Accounting, Sales, Service, Calibration, Rental, Thermocouple, Logistics, and Marketing teams.

      Responsibilities

      The Shipping Specialist is responsible for :

    • Prioritizing Mailing / Shipping / Receiving by due date to ensure on-time delivery of products by maintaining direct communication with applicable teams and Customer.
    • Packaging products in the most efficient possible method.
    • Preparing shipping labels with accurate product information and checking work against sales orders.
    • Packaging / boxing materials for shipment to minimize the risk of potential damages during shipment.
    • Inventory Management.
    • Customer order support (communicating directly with the Customer as necessary for updates on orders or issues.
    • Verifying accuracy of sales team quotes, working out any issues directly with the sales team.
    • Performing accurate physical counts of all inventory items.
    • Storing all products in their correct specified inventory locations.
    • Planning / monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
    • Assisting with communicating appropriate tariff classification to internal / external teams.
    • Assisting with day-to-day trade activities to ensure international shipments are within compliance. This includes shipping documentation and determination of Harmonized System Code (HS) classification.
    • Proactively identifying and segregating products that are damaged or do not meet company specifications.
    • Acting as a backup to the order processing team.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • Requirements

    • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong work ethic and consistent attendance
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Extremely strong, proven attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
    • Dangerous Good IATA certification (a plus)
    • Proven proficiency with MS Office Suite
    • Hands-on experience with office machines (printers, fax, etc.)
    • Worked in the calibration lab or pharmaceutical lab (a plus)
    • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
