Physician - Radiology, Emergency Radiologist (Open Rank / Track Faculty)

The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek an Emergency Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Overview

The Department of Radiology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine / Wexner Medical Center is seeking candidates for faculty positions in Emergency Radiology who are passionate about collaborative, patient-centered clinical excellence, dedicated to advancing research and innovation, committed to education, and inspire inclusivity. The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to patient care, research, and training graduate and postgraduate students.

The Division of Emergency Radiology focuses on all aspects of diagnostic imaging in the Emergency Department setting, in particular, interpretation and consultation on emergent studies in radiography, CT, Ultrasound, and MRI. Department / Division Overview

The Department of Radiology is rapidly growing, with expanded services at off-site imaging centers, and renovations to our existing clinical spaces and new spaces through the medical center strategic expansion project ($3+ Billion) :

• Main campus : New construction of a state-of-the-art 830-bed hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and a Health Sciences building that will house the College of Medicine
• Around the city : Construction of 2 newly designed ambulatory care centers in New Albany and Dublin now completed and open in addition to 16 established ambulatory care centers up and running today

Provides high-quality patient care as related to the Emergency Service.

Conducts and provides clinical instruction, lectures, seminars, and related educational offerings, both within OSUWMC and at the regional and national level.

Supports clinical and translational research activities and innovation

Faculty Defined

Clinical faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with titles of assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical and professor-clinical. These faculty will have earned a Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO), doctorate (PhD) orother terminal degree in the relevant field. Clinical faculty members are not eligible for tenure and areappointed for terms of three to five years. They may be reappointed to successive terms. Their principal careerfocus is the delivery of exemplary clinical care, and may include teaching, and / or research.

Tenure-Track faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of assistant professor, associate professor, orprofessor who are eligible for tenure or who have obtained tenure. These faculty will have earned a doctorate(PhD), Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study. Their primary careerfocus centers on research, service, and teaching.Tenure-track faculty with MD, DO or MD / PhD degrees may also beinvolved in clinical care.

Research Faculty (regardless of rank) - Persons with the titles of research assistant professor, research associateprofessor, or research professor. These faculty will have earned a doctorate(PhD) or other terminal degree inthe relevant field of study.Research faculty members are not eligible for tenure and areappointed for terms ofone to five years. Their principal careerfocus is research.
