Autonomous Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role at Amerit Fleet Solutions is aimed at repairing, maintaining, and retrofitting our fleet of Electric Autonomous Vehicles (EV / AV). The ideal candidate is an experienced technician with a growth mindset who wants to advance in the Autonomous Vehicle Industry.
Compensation and Schedule
- Compensation : Competitive hourly pay; paid weekly, every Friday; $40-48 / hr based on experience
- Shift : Tuesday - Saturday 6 : 00am-2 : 30pm

Assist technician team with service and repair of electrical, mechanical, and integration issues on autonomous vehicles and equipmentPerform software and firmware updatesFollow processes and document potential improvements and issuesCollaborate with internal engineering and service teams to troubleshoot and diagnose issuesCreate repair orders, document work performed, diagnosis, procedures, and parts requiredCreate issue tickets with engineering teams and follow up on open issuesWork with safety as a top priorityParticipate in continuing education and trainingAssist with fleet-wide hardware and software retrofitsQualifications
4 - 8 years of experience working on cars (brakes, advanced suspension, alignment, electrical repair and diagnosis, software / firmware updates, diagnosing nuanced mechanical, electrical, and A / C systems; complex hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacement)Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, automotive shop equipmentHands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and software components and understanding of their interactionsStrong computer skills and aptitude for new technologyExcellent communication skills; learning mindset; safety and quality focusAbility to give and receive clear verbal and written directivesPhysical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 50 poundsAbility to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high attention to detailA plus : experience with sensors, calibration, autonomous automotive fieldA plus : dealership training and automotive experienceA plus : experience with Linux, Java, Python, C++, Jira, Confluence, G-Suite, and SlackA plus : experience diagnosing and repairing electric / hybrid vehicles; ASE certificationsWorking Conditions
