Principal Artificial Intelligence (AI) Software Architect

Hybrid | Columbus, OH - On-site Tuesdays and Thursdays

We're looking for a Principal AI Software Architect to lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI-driven and software engineering solutions across the enterprise. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape the organization's AI strategy, guide architectural excellence, and help teams build scalable, impactful solutions that push innovation forward.

What You'll Do

Architect and lead the development of AI-driven platforms and scalable enterprise systems that align with strategic business goals.

Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business teams to define use cases and deliver measurable outcomes.

Evaluate and select AI and software technologies, frameworks, and tools to ensure top performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Set and champion best practices for AI model development, MLOps, DevOps, and system architecture.

Mentor and inspire engineering teams to innovate, grow, and consistently raise the bar on technical excellence.

Drive long-term strategy, aligning technical direction with enterprise-level goals.

Uphold compliance with data privacy, security, and ethical standards in all AI and software initiatives.

Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI / CD, and agile methodologies.

Perform other duties as needed to advance innovation and team success.

Proven ability to design, deploy, and scale AI / ML and software solutions in Azure, AWS, or GCP environments.

Advanced knowledge of programming languages, data privacy practices, and modern architecture principles.

Proven success managing priorities in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Experience in software architecture and engineering, including experience focused on AI / ML systems.

Experience with application development tools such as Visual Studio .NET.

Experience with relational databases, ideally MS SQL Server.
