We've got what you're looking for. Parsons is looking for a talented TEMPEST SPECIALIST to join our team! In this role, you will perform TEMPEST Countermeasures Reviews, Visual TEMPEST Inspections (VTI), and TEMPEST technical inspections, assessments, evaluations, and reviews. You will ensure all required reports are completed with minimal errors and that all processes, activities, and reporting are conducted within established timeframes. Additionally, you will ensure required TEMPEST reporting and annual training requirements are conducted and completed according to National Policy.
What You'll Be Doing :
- Assisting the Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority (CTTA) in executing the TEMPEST program, analyzing requirements, and implementing programs and processes for controlling or mitigating compromising emanations from equipment and facilities.
- Interpreting security policies and regulations governing TEMPEST as they apply to facilities, systems, and equipment.
- Providing advice and assistance to customers to ensure the collection of information required to facilitate the TEMPEST mission, including building / floor drawings, wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, shielding, power systems, and other utility information.
- Assisting customers in completing online automated workflow process requests, TEMPEST checklists, Protective Distribution System (PDS) requests, and TEMPEST Countermeasure Review requests.
- Conducting VTIs and TEMPEST testing of facilities, systems, and equipment, including SCIFs and PDS, as required.
- Representing the CTTA in meetings or briefs relating to facilities, systems, and equipment that process classified information and providing details necessary to properly assess the scope as related to TEMPEST.
- Supporting daily TEMPEST operations, including :
- Maintaining and ensuring the accuracy of the TEMPEST Automated Workflow Process.
- Ensuring completion of all TEMPEST reports, checklists, PDS requests, and Countermeasure Reviews within established timeframes.
- Ensuring adherence to National, DoD, and Agency regulations and instructions as they relate to TEMPEST.
- Ensuring TEMPEST technical reviews, inspections, and assessments are accomplished within established timeframes.
- Executing daily TEMPEST operations, including gathering necessary information, conducting VTIs and technical reviews, maintaining qualifications, and coordinating with partners to ensure adherence to TEMPEST requirements.
- Recommending and providing TEMPEST guidance for security elements, including :
- Providing recommendations and guidance for new processes and systems.
- Assisting in determining best practices related to wireless efforts.
- Ensuring wireless technicians understand and comply with National TEMPEST policy.
- Coordinating Countermeasure Reviews and VTIs for facilities.
- Evaluating and making recommendations on countermeasures consistent with National policy and operational requirements.
- Preparing estimates for the proper implementation of TEMPEST countermeasures and mitigations.
- Maintaining appropriate records, including technical review, inspection, and evaluation reports, VTI reports, and TEMPEST checklists.
- Conducting inspections and performing site assistance visits as required.
- Assisting with the implementation of the Technician On-the-Job Training (OJT) program to prepare technicians for success through training and hands-on experience.
What Required Skills You'll Bring :
At least 7 years of experience in TEMPEST, Physical or Technical Security, or Facility Inspection-related fields.What Desired Skills You'll Bring :
National TEMPEST School certifications for completion of TEMPEST Fundamentals and TEMPEST for System Installation and Facility Design courses.Experience with facility accreditation inspections, shielding, grounding, and Protected Distribution Systems.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Credentialed graduate of an accredited federal or DoD CI training academy (e.g., FBI Academy).Advanced TEMPEST training.Security Clearance Requirement : An active Top Secret security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance prior to the start date.
