Mallette's legal services team is looking for a lawyer to join one of our offices in the Lower St. Lawrence region.

The position is permanent and full-time, 37.5 hours per week.

What you'll accomplish

  • Carry out various mandates for our clientele, such as reorganizations, financings, company turnarounds, company purchases / sales, etc.
  • Meet customers
  • Assist customers with their legal needs :
  • Draft legal documents (buy-sell agreements, corporate resolutions, leases, supply agreements, etc.).
  • Actively participate in clients' corporate reorganizations
  • Provide strategic legal advice on mandates
  • Conduct doctrinal and jurisprudential research
  • Participate in training paralegals
  • Analyze and understand the budgetary limits of a case
  • Participate in department meetings
  • Contribute to the establishment of best practices

    What really counts

  • Bachelor's degree in law
  • Member of the Quebec Bar
  • Minimum of one (1) year's relevant experience
  • Experience in corporate and transactional law, an asset
  • Proficiency in the use of technology and ease with digitization
  • Knowledge of Para-Maître software (an asset)
