Position Highlights
Unit Size : 41 bedsPatient Population : Our NT4 unit specializes in the care of acute ortho and urology surgical patients. We are DNV certified for hip and knee replacement surgeries, and we cater to limb trauma patients as well as low acuity medical patients. As a level trauma center, we admit most regional trauma patients to this unit.Nurse to Patient Ratio : 1 : 4-6Department Culture : North Tower 4 is a fast-paced unit that thrives on collaboration with physical and occupational therapists. With an average patient stay of just three days, you’ll witness the entire recovery journey. Our team is dedicated to providing the best and safest care, and our patients appreciate the kindness and positive reassurance they receive from us.Resources Available : Enjoy support from a full-time educator, part-time educator, 2 nurse supervisors, a manager, and charge nurses.Skills and Equipment : You’ll frequently use Wound Vacs, JP drains, Buck’s tractions, external fixators, lift equipment, orthotic devices, chest tubes, Foley / IV / Mediport insertions, and more!Exciting Benefits Await You!
Sign-On Bonus : $10,000 (3-year commitment)Relocation Assistance : $5,000 for moves over 100 miles; $2,500 for moves between 50-100 milesBSN Bonus : $2,500 for external applicants with over 1 year of RN experienceQualifications
Licenses / Certifications :Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days (American Heart Association)
Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)Education : High School Diploma / GED; Associate’s DegreeOther Knowledge / Skills : Relevant nursing skills and a commitment to patient care.Your Responsibilities
As a vital member of our team, you will :
Perform all responsibilities specific to the unit’s scope of service.Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care to ensure seamless integration of information for the healthcare team.Conduct initial assessments upon patient admission and develop tailored care plans based on patient and family needs.Implement and modify care plans based on continuous evaluation.Ensure patient and employee safety by reporting and correcting hazards.Communicate effectively with colleagues and provide constructive feedback to support professional development.Assess ortho and medical / surgical patients every shift and educate them on self-care and medication management.Coordinate care with physician and surgeon partners.Manage wound appliances and assist with mobility and wound care.About Us

Compensation and Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $33.68 - $57.93 per hour . Actual compensation will depend on various factors including experience, qualifications, and shifts worked. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package to support our team members.
