Summary of Primary Functions :

This position is responsible for a broad range of general accounting functions. This role will focus on monthly close, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each assigned essential duty satisfactorily . (Below are examples, not all duties will be assigned to you, but other duties may be assigned).

• Produce / review monthly journal entries for various areas of responsibility
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations and resolve reconciling items
• Perform financial analysis and prepare internal reports for management review
• Support preparation of financial statements and related disclosures
• Assist with internal and outside auditor requests
• Assist in audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries
• Support compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Assist in developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.

Physical Demands :

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will need the following : The ability to sit for extended periods of time, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and the ability to focus on a computer screen for extended periods of time.
