Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Remotec is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team of diverse, qualified individuals. The Manufacturing Engineer works at the Remotec Facility in Clinton, TN . The Clinton facility manufactures Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) robotic equipment.

Our Manufacturing Engineer performs a variety of engineering related duties in the manufacturing and industrial engineering disciplines. Ability to use advanced theory, mathematical, scientific, or engineering principles to solve problems, conduct testing, prepare documentation, create applications, or devices in the completion of their work. Assist in design and development of systems, testing, and validation of solutions for assembly of items. Specific tasks include :

• Implement lean manufacturing principles and practices. Lead 5S implementation as well as identify, design, and execute specific Kaizen events that drive continuous improvement
• Develop and implement work center / technician work instructions based on engineering design documentation
• Develop and implement standardized assembly processes to ensure repeatable outcomes
• Identify, design, and implement assembly fixtures / tooling and aids to improve both manufacturing efficiency and repeatability
• Supports design and / or fabrication of electrical, mechanical, or electronic systems, assemblies, and sub-assemblies
• Ability to work in a team environment. Assists in reviewing procedures to ensure that the test and repair process is complete
• Reviews and evaluates failure data received from field locations, and offers recommendations for resolutions
• Provides technical solutions to a broad spectrum of difficult problems
• Works cross functionally with production technicians, engineering, quality, and organization leadership
• Supports briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal or external representatives concerning specifics to operations
• Performs other related tasks as assigned

Target Salary Range

$80,000 - $128,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual\'s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
