The Emergency Room Registered Nurse provides exceptional patient-centered care as part of a dynamic healthcare team.   • Commit to practicing in a healthy and environmentally safe manner.\n\nQualifications\n\nEDUCATION : Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required; BSN preferred. Current BCLS certification is mandatory within one month of hire.\n\nEXPERIENCE : All registered nurses are encouraged to pursue advancement within the SPIRE clinical advancement program.\n\nLICENSURE : Must hold a current nursing license in the State of Connecticut. Clinical specialty certification is strongly encouraged.\n\nSPECIAL SKILLS : All registered nurses are encouraged to pursue opportunities for professional advancement.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS : This role requires prolonged standing and walking, as well as the use of vision, hearing, and touch. Nurses may encounter infectious diseases and manage varied physical, mental, and emotional challenges including end-of-life situations. The position involves moderate stress and potential risks associated with patient care, including the handling of patients weighing between five and three hundred pounds.\n\nAdditional Information\n\nThis position is covered by the Connecticut Healthcare Associates Collective Bargaining Agreement.\n\nExperience in Orthopedic nursing is preferred.\n\nYNHHS Requisition ID : 162257
