Travel RN Job Details Location : Columbus, OH 43210 (Ohio nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Corrections Health Unit – PCU and Medical-Surgical Units Assignment Type : Locum tenens, Travel Registered Nurse contract Start Date : October 20, 2025 End Date : January 19, 2026 Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM), 3 shifts / week (36 hours / week) Orientation : 72 hours Estimated Weekly Salary : $1940 - $1990 per week Unit Details : Locked corrections unit, nurse-to-patient ratio : 1 : 3 (PCU), 1 : 4-5 (Med-Surg). Float to oncology medical-surgical units as needed. Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – compact or Ohio state license required Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in PCU or Medical-Surgical nursing Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program BLS certification (required) ACLS and NIHSS certifications (preferred) Experience with EPIC charting system required Oncology nursing experience preferred Two professional references (one from a nurse manager, director, or supervisor) Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly upon contract signing Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions considered) Travel RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a secure corrections health environment, ensuring safety and compliance Float between PCU and medical-surgical oncology units as needed Monitor and manage patients with oncology diagnoses, post-surgical needs, and acute or chronic conditions Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; perform telemetry monitoring Administer IV therapies, blood products, and manage central / peripheral lines Deliver respiratory support (CPAP / BIPAP, HFNC, tracheostomy management) Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (pharmacy, physical therapy, respiratory, rapid response) Document care in EPIC and manage medications using Pyxis Adhere to all corrections facility safety protocols and healthcare compliance standards Apply now to join our healthcare team in Columbus, Ohio, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
