We are looking for a psychiatrist to join our team to support an onsite, inpatient psychiatric unit in the Lancaster, CA area.

Precise Behavioral (Precise) was established to revolutionize the behavioral healthcare ecosystem for patients, providers, and health plans. Precise is a physician-owned and led organization that enables a mix of digital, telehealth, in-person, and community resources for improved patient outcomes.

Scope of work : Onsite adult mental health services for an acute psychiatric inpatient unit. Includes evaluation of mental health patients, working with hospital and Precise Behavioral staff, placing / discontinuing / extending psychiatric holds, collaborating with staff on admissions to the mental health unit as needed, and assisting with other psychiatric needs within other hospital departments as necessary, including a partial hospitalization program. This is a weekend rounding role, including on call coverage.

Skills :

• Strong psychiatric evaluation skills to assess mental health conditions accurately
• Experience working in an inpatient, emergency room, IOP, med-surg environment with diverse patient populations
• Diagnose individuals based on psychiatric evaluation, and develop treatment plans
