Land Representative
Chevron is accepting online applications for the Land Representative position through 10 / 21 / 2025 at 11 : 59 p.m. (MT).
Responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to :
- Serve as the surface land subject matter expert on cross functional business unit teams.
- Compile, analyze, and communicate land data and concepts.
- Conduct public records research to determine surface ownership.
- Negotiate and draft various oil and gas agreements, obtain surface use agreements, rights-of-way, surface leases, utility easements, crossing agreements, etc. required for asset development and / or operations.
- Issue surface title clearances / clear to construct work for rig lines.
- Effectively provide work direction to field land agents and outside legal counsel.
- Demonstrate an understanding of surface land involvement in oil and gas operations.
- Coordinate with various municipal, local, state, and federal regulatory bodies and agencies to support project requirements.
- Manage (research and respond) surface owner questions / complaints and work with operations team to remedy.
- Make risk-based business recommendations and clearly articulate value tradeoffs to teams and management.
Required Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years of industry land related experience.Bachelor's degree.Excellent verbal / written communication, organization, and time management skills.Excellent problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.Possess strong negotiation and drafting skills as well as demonstrated experience in recognizing, analyzing, and resolving difficult negotiating situations.Outstanding team player with strong interpersonal skills to effectively work within a multi-disciplinary group to achieve project related goals.Creative, outside the box thinker solutions oriented.Ability to build and influence both internal and external relationships.Preferred Qualifications :
Quorum Land Systems (QLS), Quorum Geographic Information Systems (QGIS), and Google Earth experience.Petroleum Land Management, Energy Management, Energy Commerce, Business, or an advanced degree in Law (J.D.) or MBA from accredited institutions.Relocation Options :
Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
