We’re seeking a skilled  Construction Estimator  to join our growing team in North Phoenix. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience analyzing blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. This role is vital in supporting project bids, doing take-offs, maintaining profitability, and ensuring competitive pricing strategies.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review architectural drawings, project plans, and specifications to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor bids.
  • Prepare bid proposals, budgets, and cost breakdowns for management review.
  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and accounting to track and update cost information.
  • Maintain organized records of past bids, pricing data, and vendor / subcontractor databases.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and project handoffs.
  • Assist in value engineering to ensure projects meet budget goals without compromising quality.

Qualifications :

  • 3+ years of experience as an Estimator in the  construction industry  (commercial preferred).
  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimating software (e.g.,  Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, or similar ).
  • Solid understanding of construction means, methods, and materials.
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple bids and meet tight deadlines.

    • Preferred Experience :

  • Experience estimating for niche construction projects.
  • Familiarity with  Bluebell, Procore, or Buildertrend  software is preferred.
