Entry Level Financial Analyst

Entry level financial analyst position willing to learn the electric utility industry and associated financial nuances. A successful candidate will aspire through training and active learning to become an electric utility regulatory professional who possesses a basic understanding of business principles and with an expanding financial and regulatory knowledge for the business functions supported, and to obtain proficiency in the application of theory to analyze and solve straight-forward problems with support, guidance, and direction from higher level personnel. Develops an understanding of the fundamentals of regulated state electric cost of service and ratemaking standards, concepts, systems, and business processes relevant to work assignments. Through training and directed task execution, acquire knowledge of developments, procedures and current events affecting state regulatory activity, and perform routine assigned analyses and tasks to support the implementation of necessary changes. Through work experiences, builds regulatory knowledge to understand the interrelationships between cost drivers and revenue.

Education / Experience :
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university OR Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND 4 years relevant field, operations or analytical experience OR High School diploma or GED AND 6 years relevant field, operations or analytical experience.
Other Must Haves :
Proficiency with spreadsheets is required.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Willingness for public speaking
Must possess analytical problem-solving skills.
Required to work infrequent mandatory "on-call" requirements over weekends, holidays, vacations, etc. as necessary to meet regulatory requirements, including filing dates required by the Company or as imposed by an applicable regulatory.
Occasional travel will be required, such as to attend or testify at hearings, to support witnesses at hearings, to participate in Commission Staff and / or stakeholder meetings / events, to advocate the Company's position in various federal, regional, or state venues, to attend training, etc.

What You'll Get :
Base Salary between $62,000 - $80,000 based on experience and skill set
