Role Overview

We are seeking a Community Event Coordinator to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in high-energy environments, can juggle multiple moving parts, and has experience managing vendors, logistics, and onsite event flow. You’ll take ownership of the details that make festivals and community gatherings run smoothly from vendor layouts and permitting to day-of coordination and team support. As our community events portfolio continues to grow, there will be opportunities for this position to expand into greater responsibility and leadership.

What You'll Do

Coordinate vendor applications, communications, and requirements including insurance, permits, and payments

Manage logistics for festivals, concerts, markets, and public activations

Develop vendor layouts and assist with mapping for optimal attendee experience

Support permitting, insurance documentation, and municipal requirements

Serve as onsite point of contact for vendors and staff during events

Track and manage timelines and deliverables

Prepare event packets, run-of-show documents, and signage

Provide recap notes and feedback after events to improve future operations

What We're Looking For

Three years of experience in community events, festivals, or markets

Strong organizational and multitasking skills in fast-paced environments

Comfort working with vendors, city partners, and community stakeholders

Ability to problem-solve onsite and make decisions under pressure

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Proficiency with tools like Google Drive, Canva, and project management software (Monday.com a plus)

Flexible availability, including weekends and evenings for event execution

Interest in growing with the team as future opportunities arise

30 hours per week, primarily remote with occasional onsite event support

$40–$50 / hour (1099 contractor), depending on experience
