Qualifications :
- Excellent management and supervisory skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High proficiency in accounting and automotive DMS systems namely Reynolds & Reynolds
- Financial reporting and cash management
- Financial operations management
- Compliance management
- External / internal audit
- At least five to ten years of related experience required
- Salary is commensurate with experience
Responsibilities :
The controller will plan and direct the accounting operations of the companyOversee the the operations of the accounting departmentMaintain a documented system of accounting policies and proceduresMaintain financial integrity and complianceManage accounting operations, accounting close, reporting and all schedule reconciliationsPrepares a financial statement by the 10th business day of each monthMaintain strict cash management and bank account reconciliationsEnsure compliance with local, state, and federal regulationsOversee payroll for staffSupervise the dealerships' business office personnel, including but not limited to employees responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, DMV registrations, payroll, and human resourcesCoordinating with outside accounting and legal professionals and providing requested information as requiredPerforming other duties as required
