Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability. To contribute or set strategy, drive requirements and make recommendations for change. Plan resources, budgets, and policies; manage and maintain policies / processes; deliver continuous improvements and escalate breaches of policies / procedures. If managing a team, define jobs and responsibilities, planning for the department’s future needs and operations, counselling employees on performance and contributing to employee pay decisions / changes. May lead specialists to influence department operations, balancing short and long-term goals while meeting budgets and schedules. Overview
Embark on a transformative journey as a Senior UI Software Engineer – Securitized Products Electronic Trading. At Barclays, our vision is clear – to redefine the future of banking and craft innovative solutions. The Securitized Products area is increasing their investment in Electronic Trading, and this role will be pivotal in supporting the development of the user interface. Working directly with Trading and Sales, you will be part of a high performing team that will implement a best-in-class electronic trading system using a combination of Java, Angular, .NET and other technologies. This is a unique opportunity to take on a key role in a high-visibility project within a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment.
To be successful
To be successful as a Senior UI Software Engineer – Securitized Products Electronic Trading, you should :
- Be a capable programmer with a passion for clean, efficient code using Object Oriented Design principals
- Possess extensive experience of Angular coding and Web Socket implementation for real time systems
- Be familiar with Java and Mongo DB
- Have experience working with C#, WPF and other .NET technologies
- Be comfortable discussing requirements and presenting solutions with trading and sales users

Minimum Salary : $170,000
Maximum Salary : $230,000
