Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Tech in Colorado Springs, CO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech / Media / Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic technology-focused location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and clear communication to all individuals on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to incidents as needed, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Pay Rate : $18.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTimeWed07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Thur07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

Fri07 : 00 PM - 07 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, including both indoor and outdoor areas.
  • Observe for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns or incidents according to established protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and helping to deter unauthorized access.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal team members.
  • Document incidents, observations, and activities in daily reports and logs as required by site procedures.
  • Remain alert to changing conditions and be prepared to respond to emergencies or requests for assistance.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
