About The Position

The Pipeline Safety Gas Engineer is responsible for technical support of the management of change database, facilitation of risk assessments and Continuous Improvement Efforts for the Ameren Illinois gas Pipeline Safety Management System / Gas System Excellence.

Key responsibilities include :

Qualifications :

Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required. Chemical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. Experience in pipeline integrity management, management systems, and performance measures and communications preferred. Experience in leading root cause analysis efforts preferred. Experience in relevant pipeline industry regulations (49 CFR Part 192, 49 CFR Part 195, API RP 1173) preferred.

Strong written and verbal communications skills; Ability to collaborate as a team while staying strategically focused on continuous improvement; excellent computer and analytical problem solving abilities; experience with Management of Change Systems and leading Process Hazard Analysis; Experience with Six Sigma Methodology; and the following Ameren competencies : Think Customer, Inspire and Engage, Foster Innovation, Drive Results, Champion Learning, Build Trust, and Be Strategic.

Compensation Range :

$69,300.00 - $168,000.00

At Ameren, base salary is one component of a competitive compensation package for employees. Our pay ranges are broad to allow for movement within our organization and to accommodate different skill sets and levels of expertise. We take into consideration a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skills, abilities, experience, education, credentials, and internal equity when determining the base salary offered. Roles are eligible for additional rewards including annual incentive payments based on individual and company performance.
