Inova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist to join the team. This role will be full-time evening shift from Tuesday - Friday, 11 : 30am - 10 : 00pm. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible.

Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist Job Responsibilities :
The Diagnostic Imaging Technical Specialist provides clinical services in multiple modalities, according to Imaging practice standards, with equal time spent in each modality, based on OU needs, while acting as a resource to Imaging Students and other technologists to ensure optimal department functions.Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies / procedures while ensuring the safety of patients.Communicates effectively with patients to obtain clinical history / informed consent to assist physicians in optimizing the performance and interpretation of examinations.Performs and documents routine quality control testing of equipment, as well as performs / recognizes the need for routine maintenance of imagers / processors to maintain consistent quality images, as evidenced by the physician and exam results.Assists in the development, review, and implementation of policies / procedures.Perform additional duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications :
Education : Graduate of accredited school / program of radiographyExperience :Minimum of one year of imaging experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital / healthcare environment.Must be able to perform in two or more modalities with at least even amount of time spent rotating in each annually based on needs. CT Cross Training.Certification :
ARRT registered as a Radiologic Technologist upon startMust obtain advanced certification in applicable modality within one year of trainingAmerican Heart Association BLS within 3 months of hire.
