Join deciBel Research, Inc. as a Software Airworthiness Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. We are seeking an experienced professional to provide technical expertise in software evaluation and compliance within our team.
Position Description
The Software Engineer will review OEM software development, integration, and testing deliverables, ensuring compliance with relevant standards such as RTCA / DO-178C, MIL-STD-882E, and Data Item Descriptions. The role involves participating in customer meetings, understanding software development principles, and communicating compliance issues effectively.
Responsibilities
- Review OEM software development, integration, and testing deliverables.
- Understand and apply RTCA / DO-178C standards and principles.
- Verify OEM deliverables for compliance with applicable standards.
- Participate in customer meetings and reviews.
- Understand software engineering principles, including source code, development life cycles, and data representations.
- Prepare memos communicating compliance issues and potential risks.
- Provide clear explanations and support decisions related to deliverables and compliance.
