Summary :

The Patient Service Specialist role ensures patient scheduling and referral needs are met while assisting in the general administrative and patient service needs of the practice.

The Advanced Heart Failure Team and MaineHealth MaineMedicalCenter is looking for a Patient Service Specialist to join our team. We are a small but dynamic team of 7 Cardiologists, 3Advanced Practice Providers, 7RNs and 1 MedicalAssistant. We are located at 22 Bramhall Street, Portland at the main hospital campus. We specialize in the management of patients with advanced heart failure needing heart pumps or heart transplant. The role will include patient scheduling, working with insurance companies to obtain authorization and sending outgoing referrals for various testing and consultations. This is an excellent opportunity to care for patients with complex cardiac needs. We are looking for a candidate who is motivated with great organization skills. Some medical clerical experience is preferred but not required.

• Core business hours Monday-Friday 8 : 00AM-4 : 30PM
• Flexible scheduling including potential for four 10-hour shifts
• Onsite in Portland, ME at our flagship hospital
• Potential for hybrid flexibility after a training period
