JOB TITLE : Facilities Tech

POSITION SUMMARY : Under general supervision, perform semi-skilled work in constructing, maintaining or repairing buildings, facilities, institutional grounds and equipment; perform maintenance on boilers, pumps, HVAC, and other mechanical systems in the hospital. Must understand use and operation of the Building management system. This position requires that you know how to work with all the critical patient support systems including medical gasses, secondary fuel for heating equipment, emergency power, security camera system, fire alarm panel and field devices, and access control maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • The Facilities Department encompasses every other department in the organization. Clinic. Emergency Department. In Patient. Rehab. Our interactions with other staff as though their patients are our patients. They should know us and feel the same.
  • QUALIFICATIONS :

    Required Education : High School Diploma

    Preferred Education : Associates Degree or Two (2) year technical school

    Required Licensure : Valid Driver License

    Specialty Certification : None

    Required Experience : Two (2) years of experience in construction and / or facilities

    Skills :

  • Must be able to read and speak English to comprehend directions and to communicate with staff, patients, and visitors
  • Have the ability to understand oral and written instructions
  • Ability to train on the job
  • WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • Office and clinical settings with potential exposure to patient care areas.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
  • May require occasional travel between facility locations.
