Your Role as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team and provide high-quality care for our residents. The CMA plays a crucial role in ensuring proper medication administration and assisting residents with daily living activities in a home-like environment.
What You'll Do :
Administer prescribed medications to residents and maintain accurate medical records under the supervision of licensed staffVerify resident identity before medication administration and document medication dosage and timeMonitor residents for responses to medication and report any adverse reactions to the supervising nurseAssist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and mobilityRecognize and promptly report any changes in resident conditions to charge staffAccurately observe, record, and report resident care, conditions, concerns, and food intake / output as requiredSupport co-workers by providing assistance as needed or requestedComplete admission, discharge, and transfer documentation as requiredProvide housekeeping duties, including cleaning of common areas and resident roomsAnswer phone calls, greet visitors, and provide tours of the Community when necessaryPhysical Demands :
Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequentlyLifting up to 25 lbs.; pushing, pulling, or lowering up to 100 lbsAbility to push a resident in a wheelchair up to 350 lbsUtilize safety equipment such as gait belts and mechanical lifts as requiredSafety Requirements :
Follow proper procedures for resident care, including two-person lifts when necessaryUtilize required PPE to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogensReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and participate in required documentationParticipation in company drug testing proceduresWork Environment :
This job operates in an indoor environment with adequate lighting and ventilation. It may include attending outdoor or public activities with residents.
Qualifications :
