Med / Surg RN Job Details – Reading, PA

Location : Reading, PA 19601 (Pennsylvania nursing jobs)

Unit : Med / Surg 1 South (Medical Surgical Nursing)

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse

Start Date : November 4, 2025

End Date : February 8, 2026

Duration : 14-week contract

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Schedule : Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1,990 - $2,130 per week

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or compact state (PA RN license)

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience (Medical Surgical RN experience)

BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required

Fingerprinting required prior to start

Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to diverse medical-surgical patient populations

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care

Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health management

Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff in the hospital setting
