Overview
Technology Sales Leader (Cross-Brand) within IBM — you'll drive technology sales strategies balanced between IBM brands and prioritized opportunities across different account sizes. You'll manage multi-disciplined technology sales teams across the breadth of our sales specialisms, with a laser-like focus on achieving client value.
You're a natural at leading, collaborating and networking — a lynchpin who coordinates and conduits the best-fit skills-mixes across direct and cross-brand teams based on accounts' needs. You'll engage with Client Engineering for co-creative, experiential sales workshops when needed, and guide your teams on how to leverage IBM's 3rd party Partner sellers to maximize opportunities. Excellent onboarding and ongoing development will support your impact in a fast-paced, supportive sales environment connected to a wider team.
Your role involves driving end-to-end sales of products, coordinating with support, specialty, and technical experts to progress large, complex, and highly competitive sales opportunities from opportunity identification to deal closure.
Responsibilities
- Leading the end-to-end sale of products, engaging with support, specialty, and technical experts to progress large, complex, and highly competitive sales opportunities from opportunity identification to deal closure.
- Formulating and promoting cross-brand solutions within sales territories to cultivate a collaborative, "one-team" culture and guide negotiations that establish beneficial pricing and secure wins.
- Sales Team Coaching : Coach sales managers and sales teams to achieve account targets.
- Client-Centric Anticipation : Apply technology and IBM offering knowledge and market trends to anticipate client needs and proactively propose solutions, with and through others.
- Resource Utilization : Promote maximum usage of the full extent of our Technology Sales resources.
Qualifications
Education : Bachelor's Degree.Leadership : Veteran-level leadership experience with a track record of winning through collaboration, resilience, empathy, and innovation. Ability to inspire and motivate others in complex, enterprise-scale technology sales.Technology Expertise : Credibility across cloud, data & AI, automation, security, and storage technologies, with deep / broad expertise in at least one specialty.Communication & Networking : Strong people and collaboration skills with proven ability to network at the executive level and influence through complex technology sales cycles (including multi-million dollar deals).Agile & Sales Methodologies : Experience using agile techniques alongside modern sales methodologies (e.g., consultative / Challenger selling) to deliver nimble, customer-focused outcomes.IBM Product Experience : Experience with IBM products and services (training across IBM product suite provided).Seniority and Employment
